The Foundation is an organization of community representatives that works to create and support hospital health care initiatives through funding for Appleton Medical Center. Located in Appleton, Wisconsin, the AMC Foundation helps support the community’s health care needs by awarding grants to a variety of programs. Programs such as the ImPACT® Concussion Management Software Program, etc. In addition, it also leads capital campaigns such as the “Beating Cancer in Our Communities,” campaign which raised $4.5 million, far exceeding the target goal of $3 million.

The Foundation board of directors includes local community volunteers as well as physician volunteers and ThedaCare senior leadership representatives – all of who live and work in the Fox Cities. Their responsibility is to review requests from the hospital and/or the community, which are consistent with its grant philosophy. Based on spending levels determined by the board, the directors will approve grants.
